Welcome and thank you for stumbling across this blog. Its origins formed in the winter of 2023 following the release of Astro v4.0, which is a 'web framework for content-driven websites'. As a web developer I wanted to try this emerging technology, and in particular create a blog with which I could write content as markdown files.

I don't intend this blog to be niche although niche sites do generate quite a bit of interest. It will likely focus on code and web development but now and again I will write on random topics. I might even share some of my favourite recipes.

Irrespective of decent content a good website needs a catchy name and some nice images. When I started coding this site I remember being pretty bored and amused myself by thinking of other things that could be bored. 'Bored Fish' came to mind not least because many fish can be found in Unsplash, a free image resource.

I do hope you find something of interest or something useful here. I will use the blog for my notes, code snippets and reference guides. Enjoy! 🐟 🚀
